Arise And Shine Nursery and Primary School Sealed Over The death of One And Half year Old Boy
According to a post made by Chris onwugbolu shared on Social media, Yesterday a One and Half year Old Boy died after being flogged 31 strokes of cane for failing to Recite Fluently His Primary alphabets and numbers.
He was admitted in the hospital after falling ill from the Brutal beating by the teacher, He died eventually from the pains inflicted on him by the teacher.
The Delta Education Board have taken pro-active action , as the school has been sealed further investigation had been opened into the mstter’.
“The Commissioner for primary Education Hon Chika Ossai, said state government will not relent in its efforts in ensuring that all illegal schools accross
the state are closed down..
The commissioner stated this while sealing off the Arise and Shine Nursery and primary school camp 74 in Asaba Oshimili South local government Area where one year and seven months old child was alleged to have been flogged thirty one strokes of cane and died yesterday after many hours of
struggling for life.
The commissioner who spoke through the permanent Secretary Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Austin Oghoro, said the school was not registered and not recorgnised by Delta state
government.
While sympathizing with the family of the deceased the Commissioner said the state government will not leave any stone unturn in investigating the
circumstances surrounding the ugly act.
He disclosed that police has arrested the proprietress of the school and her son who were
involved in the alleged crime and investigation is ongoing “
